Our church was formed in the summer of 2009 with the first worship service held on September 12, 2010. We have been at our current rented storefront location at 289 Main Street in Schoharie, NY since November 2013. Currently, the only paid staff position at Christ the Shepherd is that of our pastor. We are also blessed with lay leaders and active members who assist with leading Sunday worship activities.
Our Sunday worship service is at 9:00am and includes a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary music and follows many of the same liturgical elements of a traditional Lutheran service. Holy Communion is provided weekly. Children are most welcome to worship with us.
The Sunday service is also livestreamed on our church Facebook page at Christ the Shepherd Lutheran Church, Schoharie NY. Check out some of our previous worship Services that are posted there! It is also on our Facebook page that we post information about the latest events happening within our congregation; share messages of hope, inspiration and God’s love; and include stories about our local

Directions: Our church is located at 289 Main Street, Schoharie, (NY Rt. 30) in a store front building across from the Schoharie County Courthouse. Look for the large banners in the front windows to find our location. Parking is available on Main Street and a parking lot is available at the rear of the building which can be accessed via Grand Street or through the alley adjacent to the left side of the building.
